Trainers During Quarantine: Obstacles, Attitudes, and Missing SIX

After what seems like forever, we’ve reopened SIX Epic Human Xperience and are welcoming back members! It feels great to be back with the SIX Community, but the quarantine period has made everyone feel out of place, even the SIX Trainers!

We rely on our trainers to motivate and encourage us through workouts, but it’s important to remember that even they experienced obstacles during their self-quarantine.

Spreading positivity is what we’re all about! If you’re struggling with your own obstacles or need motivation to continue your fitness journey, our staff wants you to know you’re not alone!

Learn how they overcame their biggest obstacles, how they kept a positive attitude during quarantine, and what they missed most about SIX Epic Human Xperience!

Overcoming Personal Obstacles

Evan, Trainer

“I had some personal issues happen during quarantine, but I used them to try and better myself. I made it through by turning my grief into motivation and not letting myself get down.”

Taylor, Trainer

“The biggest obstacle for me was not having the space or equipment to workout. I really love to squat and deadlift with a bar/plates, so I learned new ways to still do those movements with different equipment!”

Sofee, SIX Manager/Trainer

“Losing my husband right before quarantine was really challenging. My kids and I were starting to adjust, and we needed the support and distraction. We are all extroverts, so this was our nightmare. It might sound odd, but our dog and visits to the dog park saved us.”

Rachel, SIX Nutritionist

“My biggest obstacle was not having gym equipment available to me. To overcome this problem, I ended up purchasing a TRX and doing bodyweight workouts.”

Keeping A Positive Attitude

Evan, Trainer

“A few ways that I’ve kept a positive attitude were morning walks to start the day, staying busy on working out my future, and gratitude journaling.”

Taylor, Trainer

“I focused on what I needed to do daily to help me stay motivated. I did a lot of reading and made sure I kept looking forward, not back.”

Sofee, SIX Manager/Trainer

“To stay positive, I kept busy and tried to maintain a routine. I made safe visits with friends & family, and spruced up my house a bit.”

Rachel, SIX Nutritionist

“I kept a positive morning routine and went outside every day by either going on a walk, having lunch outside, or walking barefoot in the grass to connect with the ground. I also reached out to friends and family daily.”

Missing the SIX Community

Evan, Trainer

“I love the clients and members and seeing them progress and feel better about themselves the farther along the fitness journey they get.”

Taylor, Trainer

“The people – our SIX Community.”

Sofee, SIX Manager/Trainer

“The people!!!! I can’t wait to be smiling and laughing and catching up with our members.”

Rachel, SIX Nutritionist

“I missed the coaches and the community.”
